1、询问某事的进展情况
How + be + 其它？……进展的如何？如:
——How is the work?这项工作进展的如何？
——It's OK.还行。
2、询问某人最近过得怎么样。回答可以说情况好和不好。 如:
——How is it going? 最近情况如何?
——Pretty good! 相当好!
3、询问某人近来的身体状况。如:
①——How are you?你好吗？
——I am fine, thanks，and you?我很好，谢谢，你呢？
②——How is your father?你爸爸最近好吗？
——Not bad.还行。
句型:How do/does sb. do sth.。
答语: 交通工具的形式是原形。
①sb. take/takes a/the+交通工具。
注意:有冠词;
②sb.+动词+地点+by+交通工具(无冠词)。如:
①——How do you get to school?你是如何到达学校的？
——I walk to school.=I get to school on foot.我步行上学。
②——How does Bob go to Shanhaiguan?鲍勃如何去的山海关?
——He goes there by plane.坐飞机。
句型: How long does it take (sb.) to do sth.?做某事花费某人多长时间？
注意这个句型中有三个考点:
①does,形式;
②take的形式;
③后面的to do。
答语: (It's +) 时间长度。如:
①——How long does it take you to finish your homework?做完作业花费了你多长时间呢？
——It's fifty minutes./Fifty minutes.五十分钟。
②——How long does it take to play basketball?(主语省略)打篮球用了多长时间呢？
——Half an hour.半小时。
6、问两个地点之间的距离
句型: How far is it from A to B?从A地到B地的距离有多远？
注意:
①it是形式主语。
②from…to… 从……到……。
答语:(It's)+距离。如:
①——How far is it from your home to school?从你家到学校多远？
——Fifteen kilometers.十五公里。
②——How far is it from your home to Jane's home?从你家到简的家有多远呢？
——It's thirty–fine kilometers.三十五公里的路程。
7、问年龄
句型:How old+be+人?某人多大了？=What's one's age?
答语: sb.+基数词+year(s) old。
如: ①——How old are you?你多大了？
——I am twelveyears old.十二岁了。
②——How old is your grandma?你祖母多大了？
——She is eighty–eight.八十八的高龄。
8、问天气
句型: How's the weather?=What's the weather like?天气如何？
答语:It's+描述天气的形容词:sunny晴朗的、hot炎热的、rainy多雨的、windy多风的、cool凉爽的、cloudy多云的、cold寒冷的、snowy多雪的等等。
如:
——How is the weather Today?今天天气如何？=What's the weather like Today?
——It's sunny and hot.既晴朗又炎热。
9、征求意见或建议
句型: How about+名词/代词/动词的ing形式。
如:
①My coat is red, how about yours?我的毛衣是红色的，你的呢？
②How about watching TV?看电视怎么样呢？
③How about the apples?这些苹果怎么样？
10、问做某事的频率
句型:How often+do/does sb. do sth?某人多久做某事？
答语:频率副词或短语:always总是、usually通常、often经常、sometimes有时、never从不、once a day/week/month/year一天/周/月/年一次等
如:
①——How often do you go shopping?你多久去购一次物？
——Twice a week.一周两次。
②——How often does your friend go on a picnic?你朋友多久去野餐？
——Four times a month.一月四次。
11、询问事物的数量
句型:
①How many+可数名词复数+其它？
②How much+不可数名词+其它？
如:
——How many flower are there in the bottle?瓶子里有多少支花?
——Forty.四十。
——How much water do you need?你需要多少水？
——Three cups.三杯。
注意:How much还可以询问物品的价格？如:
——How much are the shoes?鞋子多少钱？
——Three dollars for one pair and five dollars for two pairs. 三美元一双五美元两双。
12、引导感叹句
句型：
① How +形容词+ a/an +可数名词单数+(主语+谓语)!。如：
How beautiful and lovely a girl she is! 她是个多么漂亮和可爱的姑娘啊!
How interesting an artist he is!他是个多么有趣的艺术家啊！
② How +形容词 / 副词+主语+谓语。如：
How good she is! 她多么漂亮啊!
How slow he runs! 他跑得多慢啊!
③How +主语+谓语!。
如：
How time flies! 光阴似箭!
注意:由 what 引导的感叹句与由 how 引导的感叹句有时可以转换，但句中部分单词的顺序要有所变化。如：
How beautiful and lovely a girl she is! = What a beautiful and lovely girl she is!多么美丽和可爱的女孩啊！
What sweet candies these are! = How sweet these candies are!多么甜的糖果啊！
